Does anyone recall “Mock City Chicken”?
Not that, but I remember something “mock apple pie”. I think the recipe was on the box of Ritz crackers. It did not use apple slices, just crackers with the pie seasonings. I think we had it ONCE just to see if it really tasted like apple pie.
Ugh yes! City chicken...Fat on a stick! I asked my mom a few years ago what the hell that stuff was. She said it was pork. I haven’t seen it in decades thankfully. Don’t know if its even sold any more. It might have been a regional thing, too.
