This “story” is getting more ridiculous with every posting. That many Osprey’s would have the local residents all talking about it and would of made the local news. A sustained hours long gun fight with automatic weapons, even with supressors, would also have gotten the locals interested.

FWIW two V-22s show up around here once a year so the local Marine reserve unit can get their jump quals in. When they arrive social media lights up with idiots asking - freaked out - what is going on. They are not quiet machines.

Now imagine 40 of them, for two days, at roof top altitude, unloading and loading armed soldiers, Americans cordoning off a area, in the fifth largest city in Germany.

A few years ago; every Friday afternoon, two A10’s would buzz down the high voltage transmission lines near my property. Always from S to N. One about 30 seconds ahead of the other.

Never did figger it out.
