Who supports the current ockdowns, mask mandates and social distancing mandates?
If you support any of these concepts above let’s hear from you. But beware - you will receive massive pushback here for your wrong opinions. My hope is that nobody voices support for any of these concepts. If nobody says anything in support of covidiotism then we can be confident that Freerepublic has very few people who hate freedom and liberty.
Many of the non-Flubros who do post on the Flubros threads tend not to focus on support for tyranny, but rather just prefer that we focus on China’s role, for example.
Expandable. My daughter hospital has 2 icus abs opened a third. The hospital I’m at most often increased by about 50%. again the problem is usually finding iCU nurses to staff the beds
Hey dude back off. I’m on your side. first your story was dated Nov 3rd almost a month ago. Second it’s not the height of flu season here, it depends on the year. Third I am well aware of the statistics for my 17 hospital system and other large systems in the state that other family members practice in. i admit multiple covid patients every shift. I work in a hospital I do not take care of well patients. The surge and the full hospitals are real. Pretending it is not so doesn’t make it go away but does damage our credibility when speaking out against lockdowns and masking

Well if the surge and full hospitals are real, then it seems drastic measures ARE necessary and bolsters the need for masks and lockdowns. Have you asked your hospital administrations why they have managed them so lean on resources?

The implications of your dirt bag comments are that physicians are jut greedily collecting a check and falsifying things. Let me educate on some things you dolt:
1. The surge is real
2. There is not much of an increased mortality indicating that perhaps the virus has attenuated
3. We have become much better at treating
4. On the east coasts the surge is not that impressive, CoVID has finally hit the middle part of the country
5. Lock down and masks do not work
6. Hospitals are filled to capacity in the midwest trending 30 - 40 % CoVID patients
7. ICUs now have surge capacity. At the several major hospitals I work in we can expand capacity up to 50% if necessary
8. MomMD is correct, it is not beds and vents but staffing that blocks ICU
If you had any balls whatsoever you would put on some PPE and treat the ill in the hospital. Oh wait, thats right, you do not have at least 10 years of doctoral and postdoctoral level training. My SOB story overwhelms yours several-fold with only a portion being my 86 yr old mom and 89 yr old dad thinking this would be our last Thanksgiving and Christmas together as a family, and my and my sister’s family all live within 18 miles of each other. At the last second we had to cancel Thanksgiving and Christmas isn’t looking too promising. Think about my mom’s broken heart.
