November’s full moon sneaks in before the end of the month, putting a wrap on the long Thanksgiving weekend.
The beaver moon rises early Monday, reaching its peak at 4:30 a.m. ET, NASA says.
The November full moon was traditionally called the beaver moon by both colonial and Native Americans.

"by colonial and Native Americans"
Per Cliff Clavin;
*November begins the period of long nights, where as the Sun sets very early and during the colonial period there was a lack of indoor lighting. Being that candle wax was rare and difficult to make and whale oil for lamps very expensive, such were only used at night for cooking and eating. The man of the home thus only got to see his wife's beaver at night during periods of the Full Moon shining through the windows. That is what we now call the Beaver Moon.

A full beaver moon could be a combination of Miley Cyrus “twerking” and Cardi-B performing on stage.
Now, I’ll skip the jokes about a girl I once dated whose last name was Beaver. She was very cute.
Also worked an environmental case in Beaver Falls, Pa. Nothing worst that trying to pull drunk beavers out of a river.
However, loved the song “On the Dark Side” by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, for the movie “Eddie and The Cruisers”, 1984. Met Cafferty. Not a nice guy re conversation.
Singing, “There’s a Moon Out Tonight”. Oh wait! That’s just one of my neighbors in her window. NEVER MIND!

Beaver College Announces New NameBeaver College has appeared on David Letterman’s Top 10 list. Conan O’Brien and Howard Stern have made jokes about it. And when Saturday Night Live writers invented an annoying film critic for a recent sketch, they made him a representative of Beaver College campus radio. The college’s own research shows the school appeals to 30 percent fewer prospective students solely because of the name. And the problems worsened with the rise of the Internet, since some Web filters intended to screen out sexually explicit material blocked access to the Beaver College Web site.
