YARKS! !!! Turn 3, just past it #8 Roman Grosgean shoots L to R across the track, punches through the ARMCO between 2nd and 3rd row WITH THE FRONT 2/3 OF THE CAR WITH ROMAN IN IT !!!

HALO DOES IT'S JOB AND ROMAN GETS OUT ON HIS OWN AND WALKS TO SAFETY CAR WITH MINOR HAND AND ARM BURNS !!! ALL SAFETY WORKERS OK !!! THANK YOU GOD !!! The Cockpit and HALO did their jobs perfectly! !!

Glad he got out and is reasonably well. That was a massive impact to punch a hole in the Armco barrier, it destroyed the front half of the car. Wonder if F1 cars have G meters like the Indy cars used? The G forces from that impact are going to be large, somewhere north of 50 G’s (conservative estimate). Good thing it was Armco which bent and absorbed much of the impact, a solid wall would have been a much different story.
