Few days ago I stumbled on Tommy Shaw playing that song with the Cleveland Youth orchestra for a few years back.
Oh thank you. Thank you for posting that link. I so enjoyed that concert. I’m choking up here, over 42 years has passed since I was an angry young man. Yet realizing then that my future was indeed quite bright I finished my education, got married, been married for 40 years, and raised two wonderful children.
It’s not often that a song directly speaks to your life. But that one did.

Yes, Tommy Shaw has been doing some nice work the last few years, such as with the kids’ orchestra. Just straight ahead, unpretentious, quality performances. I also like the stuff he did with Darryl Hall, of all people!
