I like going to movies but there are very few any more that have any appeal to me. I have zero interest watching some lame-brain movie about global warming or trying to convince me that homosexuality is normal. Also, they seem to be long on computer generated graphics and short on story. That also goes for the ones available through streaming as well as the theater movies.
I hardly consume any US made entertainment anymore, most now comes from other countries.
Roku has a lot of good vintage stuff.
Hard to think I call 90s TV that at times.
Time Trax is on and I’ve been watching it off and on. Decent series.

America is no longer the target audience for Hollywood. Movies today are made for non-english (and non western audience. (I think China is their main audience).
This is why today’s movies are mostly action adventure with little story or dialog. Think silent movies with explosions.
I agree. I absolutely love going to the movies and I don’t care about prices of food and drink. I buy anyway. However, since the pandemic, I have seen one movie that even sorta was interesting to me. A few months before the pandemic was similar. Hopefully they are saving the good movies until this is over.
How often did you go before Covid?
My wife and I would go at least once a month, sometimes twice. It is the “experience” rather than any particular genre of film.
I am often curious how often people on FR would have gone before Covid. Because it’s more likely ya not something you did a lot of before.
