Yes, it isn’t as if Trump has a giant computer at his fingertips with all this data and information on it, where he can himself look up email traffic and capture it to release. He can give orders to people to carry out. And they can follow those directives faithfully or unfaithfully. If they are unfaithful that will take time and the cooperation of other government employees to ferret out.
The government was never Trump’s to command, in reality. The government organism treated Trump like a cancer cell. His power to command the government was less than probably any president in history. They simply would not, in most critical cases, cooperate. They are the swamp, and they won’t drain themselves. But in his presidency that was expected, and it was entirely illogical.
He was a revolutionary without a revolution. He needed a revolution to succeed at this, in every sense of that concept, otherwise the massive government organism would release its own Kraken on him, the cancer cell, to make sure it eliminated him.
