Closures of NM groceries raise concerns

Anna Hagele typically shops for groceries for her and her four children at the Walmart Supercenter on Herrera Drive in Santa Fe because she likes the prices.

However, on Friday, Hagele found herself waiting in a line of 40 people outside a local Albertsons, after the state announced Wednesday the Herrera Drive Walmart would be closed for the next two weeks – one of a dozen grocery stores in New Mexico closed in recent weeks due to multiple cases of COVID-19 among workers.

The Herrera Drive Walmart is one of three grocery stores currently closed in Santa Fe under an edict that allows the New Mexico Department of Health to close workplaces down for two weeks if they have four or more COVID-19 rapid responses in a 14-day period.

Each of the three groceries closed in Santa Fe serves residents on the city’s Southside, leaving fewer choices for food in an area already starving for options.

More conditioning. Next you’ll need a vaccination card to shop. And we all know what’s the next step is after that.

New Mexico should change its name to New Venezuela.

What should be shutdown is the NM Governor’s idea that she can be a dictator.

The U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4 gives the federal government power to stop a state dictatorship and return that state to a representative republic, with laws coming form the legislature, not from the executive.

I rarely favor the feds’ interference with the states, but here it is more than legally and constitutionally called for.

They’re distributing little ziploc bags of food to public school children on Fridays here. They have two breakfasts and two lunches. I’ve been telling others that that’s the way we’ll be getting our groceries under commie cheats in the future. Rationed. In line.

Coming to a State near you soon. I'm surprised Hugo Newsom hasn't issued a similar edict here in Calizuela.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

If I owned a business, I would get the hell out of NM.

That’s what the Left does - drives business, markets, and prosperity away.

Leftism creates poverty.

And if you don't vote for demonicRATS, don't worry, the voting machine will do that for you.

Here’s how that works:

Employee: “I feel bad today and I might have covid.”

Employer: “So you’re not coming in. Get well soon”. And there goes another one on a week’s paid vacation. Its impossible to schedule anything in advance because I never know who is going to call in ‘sick’. One more this week and I have to close for awhile.

That’s the reality business have to operate under at least in Wisconsin. Employee gets a vacation paid for by the company because the employee claims to be sick.

Total lies. Even if a few people have gotten COVID the odds of a customer getting it cannot be that high. The poor people at my local UPS store are constantly closed down by the state for 2 weeks at a time.

More like two weeks.

I’ve seen a worker do that twice this year:

Worker (on phone) in June:

“Boss, I feel like I have a fever”

Boss:

“Ok, two weeks off”

—3 months later-+

Worker (on phone) in Sept:

“Boss, I feel like I have a fever”

Boss:

“Ok, two weeks off”

Both times —with pay—.

This is in addition to the regular PTO.

Vaccination card and a ration card. Soon the government will be issuing “Food Credits” as the Commie Chinese did when they took over China. So much work=one credit.
