I would love to see a pardon for everyone convicted of a firearms offense who was not associated with a gang or also charged with a violent crime. Let’s erase some of the damage inflicted by the National Firearms Act. Short-barreled rifle/shotgun offenses, silencer possession, and magazine capacity offenses should not be crimes at all, and everyone with those nonsense convictions should be pardoned.
I would also love to see pardons for tens of thousands of other nonviolent criminals (not for major drug dealers or child porn, but for a lot of other nonviolent crimes). Prisons are expensive. Let’s stop warehousing those who do not pose a threat to the general public.
