I read about this in the NY Post. IIRC, a voice mail was left. Kirland/Ellis disputed that it was a threat, admitted it was discourteous and inappropriate. Said it was an associate acting on an individual basis, who did not even know they were involved with the case.
The “Trump lawyer” doubled down, pointing out that the associate had not even apologized, listed all the other untoward stuff that had happened, and said that lawyers should certainly have consequences for such behavior.
That’s not word for word, just my impression and going on a foggy memory.
