In Sungkyunkwan (Sung kyun kwan) Scandal, Moon Jae Shi (aka Crazy Horse) is a senior at the academy who is the son of the Minister of Justice. When his elder, and much beloved, brother was killed, his father took no action in order to protect the younger son, and Moon Jae Shi can't forgive him. So he works out his rebellion by writing up pieces against the government and shooting them onto doors. Not having a great desire to live, he lives on the edge of danger and is frequently severely injured.

감사합니다

I’m watching Tale of the Nine-Tailed now with 이동욱.

Before that was the Chinese drama 陈情令 (The Untamed).

I’m halfway thru “Tale of the Nine-Tailed Fox” right now, myself. Watched “Untamed” some months ago. Have husband in the middle of “Maiden Holmes.” Spent last night fighting commercials with YouTube for “Perfect and Casual.”

I had expected a cover of the song “He’s a Rebel” made famous by the Crystals.

I’m a fan of Bryan Adams. I used this song version before for NCIS for Gibbs and still love it. I had trouble finding the lyrics online because the Crystals kept coming up, but I haven’t listened to their song yet. I noticed in their lyrics that it ends with “not a rebel” which isn’t the story I was telling.

My Canadian wife would know more about Bryan Adams than I would. I only remember “Cuts Like a Knife” and “This Time”, which was in heavy rotation on MTV, probably due to the legs of one of the actresses in the video. Those early ‘80s videos had some of the most stunning women seen anywhere. Those women probably didn’t have a lot of acting talent, but didn’t need it for the video cheesecake.

I never watched MTV type music videos. I always thought of them as fine arts turned kinetic. What I was trying to do was create stories, so my interest has always been more into how to outline lyrics to make layers of meaning in videos. And I’d have been more interested in video beefcake, than cheesecake, but missed that, too.
