Big deal. I’ve got owls on my place and in the evening they serenade me with their hoots. But then, big City people who usually don’t give a ‘Hoot”, suddenly give a “Hoot”.

Same here. We used to have one Barred Owl in particular come to a tree where I could see him from the family room window (my house overlooks woods and a creek). Beautiful bird!

Then one time I saw him (or her) grooming another one. Fascinating! As of last year, I haven’t seen this owl close enough to watch daily. I wonder if he passed. There were babies one year, so I’m guessing those are the ones I hear in the evening. They are nearby, but not quite as visible as “Ollie” was.

Luckily, I have some very nice photos of Ollie and Olivia (the name I gave to his grooming friend).
