I would hope the court would say that this very scenario is spelled out in US Code Title 3 Chapter 1 ยง15 and would step back and let Congress sort it out according to established federal law. A guy I work with is fond of saying "Hope is not a strategy". It's one thing if a court ruled that vote fraud was so massive as to throw the whole election into question. It's quite another for the Republicans in the legislature to decide that on their own. No court is going to sit back and allow the legislature to ignore the law in place at the election and appoint their own electors.

But the federal law already includes a method for resolving competing slates of electors. Why would a court block that process from happening, essentially usurping the role of Congress?
