LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) – Police have made an arrest in the killings of former Lakeland city commissioner Edie Yates Henderson and her husband David Henderson.
Marcelle Waldon, 36, is charged with 10 felony counts, including first-degree capital murder in connection with the killings, which happened at the couple’s home on Lake Morton Drive, according to police.
Police believe Waldon got into the home through an unlocked door, and said the crime scene was “absolutely horrific” after he allegedly stabbed the couple to death. Police believe Waldon had tried to set their home on fire. When they got to the home, the stove was “gassed” and every single burner had been turned on, police said.
They described the act as random.

How's that Catch and Release Program working out for you?
With his rap sheet, it’s always comforting to know he was still allowed to walk around free and then able to add murder to his crimes.
Then, they attacked his knife with their bodies.
Damn them! Damn the whiteys!!
Another one of Holder’s peeps offs whitey.
Not really neccessary to look, but there you go.
no...anybody but a plain old whitey would get acknowledgement....
More like random with evil intentions.
Random act.
Mostly peaceful
Have they called it one of those robberies gone wrong where the victims are possible kidnapped/raped/tortured/etc before murder and nothing of value is taken?
“They described the act as random.”
Yeah, random White people.
What a shame. Now he won’t be able to finish that pre-med degree.
The odds of most of us breaking into a home, stabbing two occupants to death, and trying to burn the house down, would be trillions to one, and thus a “random” act.
For this lifetime violent felon, housebreaker, robbery, etc. to do the same was not random. It was the exactly what any sane person would expect.
If we had free and fair elections, perhaps we could have a criminal justice system that protected us from violent predators. We obviously don’t have one now, excepting DIY.
