Incel jokes are bad ad hominems (Hell any ad hominem for that matter) especially in reference to multi- billionaires.
There was a point in Christ’s earthly ministry where He said some hard things and as a result many who had been following Him stopped following.
At that point He turned to the 12 and asked if they would leave too.
“To whom shall we go? You have the words that lead to eternal life.” was the answer.
These days suggesting people merely have good morals is too difficult for most to bear. But that doesn’t mean we or your kids cannot answer the same as Peter did.
But for anyone to answer that way ultimately means learning something harder than knowledge: it means learning to trust the Lord.
I think that’s what Christ meant when He said we needed to be like little children, for little children trust their parents, sometimes even to a fault when we’re talking mortal men and women.
So while much in Scripture isn’t easy, but whatever the issue, the trouble or the question the Lord can proverbially say (for example of substitutionary propitiation) “Yes, it may not make a lot of sense to you now but I’m telling you that it actually works as I’ve said it does and my Son took care of all of that on the Cross: do you trust me?”
That sort of trust proverbially undoes the fall, when our parents were tempted to not trust Him. And ultimately His children will trust Him even if the rest of the world just will not.
So get your kids to trust the Lord ... them realizing His commandments are for our their good will follow more easily at that point.
