The Republican Party is committing suicide
American Thinker ^ | 17 Nov, 2020 | Henry Edwards

There are so many assertive actions the Republican Party could take to support Trump, but it’s utterly passive. Its suicide comes at a cost for Americans.

If the Republican Party fails to use every possible stratagem to retain the Presidency in 2020, it will have signed its death certificate. The majority of the 73 million people whose votes for Trump were properly counted may well turn away from the Republican Party in disgust. Why bother to vote if the Republican Party is too feckless and incompetent to mount a successful challenge to a stolen election? However, this act of suicide comes at a cost.

When they’re accused of fecklessness, establishment Republicans, in their defense, will point to gains in the House and, if we’re lucky, to their holding the Senate gain. However, much of this gain isn’t due to the Republican brand but, instead, to Trump’s coattails.

At the “Republican brand” level, we have the self-styled “Lincoln Project” Republicans who aggressively tried to intimidate Trump’s lawyers before they got shamed and deleted their tweet:

pikachu dad is gonna bend over for the Rs in the next election again :) and again :) and again :)

That they did NOTHING to help Trump when they had the majority doesn’t matter to him.

That they are doing NOTHING to help him now doesn’t matter to him.

Because he is a robot :)

Logic does not compute in this robot though.

##### the republicans.

BAD BAD BAD move not backing Trump 100 percent during a COUP

See that word..pikachu???

COUP??

you go vote R and make believe you’re making a difference.

I’m voting conservative.

If there’s not one on the ballot I’ll write one in.

The Rs in congress are dead to me.

Corporate, globalist, bribe taking monsters, no better than the left.

Trump IS/WAS the last hope for the republic.

Vote R???

#### that

The Republican suicide has been a gradual process that, I believe, started with the Clinton administration. I think that’s when the RINO factor became really obvious and worsened from that point on. RINO = a Republican politician that promises something during election time then forgets it once elected. The broken promises were paralleled by zero push back on leftist gains.

Now RINO’ism has evolved to the point of not backing one of the greatest Presidents in US history. They have the chance to save America, and choose to save their own sorry asses instead.

I’m from a red state, and the senators in particular are keeping as quiet as possible while Trump endures one of the harshest, bold faced frontal assaults ever launched on a US President.

The sad part, is if Trump does lose out, his own back stabbing RINO party will blame him for their own failure. Many will cross over and support Biden policy. Future elections will be a waste of time. We will be so screwed.

I think you may have it.

Many in the GOPe admire Biden’s 47 years and view that as success. All the more, his 10%.

The GOP can get what their donors want, cheap labor and globalism, in the minority. This is the problem.

That is the problem. The GOP donors are generally in agreement with the Dem donors on the big issues. They quible on the edges but open borders, socialized/non employer health care and unfair trade are cornerstones of both parties.

Too much money to be made selling us down the river to China to ever change that. The Uniparty is what it is.

I have been a registered republican only for the purposes of voting in the primaries.

I virtually never voted republican in the actual elections. It was usually the conservative party line.

One person I met once who was active in a local conservative party chapter said that the actual conservative vote counts on election day were always 10x’s the number of registered conservatives.

So lots of people do this.

The Republican Party is committing suicide

The GOP died the day they first put the "sweet 16" on stage to dispose of Donald Trump in the first debate.

Every shade of official GOP opinion and identity was represented, each begging, "pick me! pick me! Not him! Not him!"

The people looked - and said, "no thanks".

It's been dead for five years. The corpse is beginning to smell.

Time for a decent burial.

President Trump commented on Parler this morning that he thinks it’s time for a new party. One that is for the American People.

The Republican Party is dead! That is the Republican Party of Globalists AntiAmerican Cheap Labor Morons, not Trump’s Republican Party!

Unfortunately, Trump’s Republican party is not on the ballot in the GA runoffs. Perdue was working on a gun control bill with Bloomberg and didn’t lift a finger to support POTUS in GA. Loeffler, while posing a Trump supporter to garner votes, is married to one of the most powerful men on Wall Street. Wall Street heavily invested in China Joe and expects a payoff for that.

Really—remind me which party holds the SoS and governor in GA?

Which party sat on its a$$ for four years while our President was wrongly impeached?

Which party obstructed his agenda while they had all 3 branches?

Which party allowed the Democrats to take the house in 2018?

I could go on, but there’s no use—just like continuing to vote R if Trump’s clear victory is denied.

The Democrats give them cheap labor and free trade and the Rs are happy in the minority pretending to be the “loyal” opposition.

For so long many would say the Republicans need to grow a spine etc etc.

I woke up from that and realized that many if not most are part of the swamp. It’s corruption, not weakness.

The swamp has been good at taking over just about everything. Its not hard to figure they went after the Republican Party as well.

GOP has been useless since the first George Bush....Ronald Reagan's biggest mistake...

It can be good at the state level

Trump needs to start a third party...MAGA party

GOP can not get ex democrats..Latinos...and blacks without Trump or a party founded by him

I have no doubt that the GOP throwing in with the coup in 2017 will be looked at as one of the great pivots in all of American history. So much was lost when Ryan, McConnell and the rest of the GOP chose Team Anti-America. We much teach our children of this betrayal and they must do likewise.

Trump has transformed the party and given me more people I can actually be happy to vote for when they run. Yea abandon them. that makes no sense and is useless. The new young conservatives in party are excellent for the most part. Continue the defeat of the GOPe and dems is my plan.
