If he'd have FIRED everyone when he took office he would've. But he didn't.

(Don't take that the wrong way, I voted PROUDLY for President Trump in 2016 and 2020. I don't think he knew how deep and how wide the swamp really was and by the time he did, it may have already been too late.)

You’re right of course. The reason Trump picked Barr after firing Sessions was because Barr had already been AG and was a relatively easy confirmation in the Senate. Really, Trump didn’t have much choice. There were many Pub senators, particularly Graham, who suspected Trump had intentions to halt the Mueller investigations. Graham, ever the glassy-eyed weasel, vouched for Mueller’s integrity, almost to the farcical end.

There may have been others who could have been confirmed as AG, but I couldn’t thnk of any at the time.
