Even some of my most respected conservative correspondents have been taken in by pessimism over Attorney General William Barrs authorization of investigation of vote fraud. The media cabal seeking to oust President Trump focused on the abrupt purported resignation (he is keeping his federal paycheck and transferring to a different post) of Richard Pilger, director of the DOJ Criminal Divisions Election Crimes Branch. The narrative Pilger offers, all but universally adopted by the media, is that Barr is violating established norms and acting out of (corrupt) political motives.

Now, you'll recall that shortly after the election, Barr had his DAG specifically state that FBI agents could enter election centers armed. That was a clear sign that the FBI was receiving complaints of election law violations and was responding to them by going to election centers--presumably because the complaints were coming from workers at those centers. They were being blocked from entering because they were armed, and their complaints about this obstruction got to Barr very quickly.

Black is very slimming.
First rule, never used a badly written secondary source when a well-written primary source is immediately at hand.
When Richard Pilger took over as Director of the Branch, he decided that the manual needed updating. So under his guidance it was updated and edited down some in 2017 now its only 296 pages long.
Ive never brought myself to read the thing, but in merely perusing it, I noticed that about 900 times in the course of 300 pages the Election Crimes Branch tells the AUSAs that they must consult with and obtain approval from Election Crimes Branch before an AUSA or FBI Agent can do anything operationally in response to an allegation that an election-related crime might have taken place. Without their approval, there would be no investigation.
What happened today, and what prompted Pilger to quit was that AG Barr said to US Attorneys If you have substantial allegations of election fraud in your district, you have authority to investigate that. Basically, Barr cut Pilger and Election Crimes Branch out of the picture as gatekeepers to starting investigations in places like Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Detroit, and Atlanta.
The only thing Barr has consistently demonstrated an aptitude for is running out the clock.
More Trust the Plan BS. Gee, thanks
This time there is a hard stop in weeks.
Keep in mind those "investigating" are "Deep State" swamp creatures and ANYTHING they find will be months, if not years down the road. Most likely it is nothing but a whitewash, much like the Durham "investigation".

This is not about the “ investigation “
“Are there enough prisons?”
No. But I’m sure there are enough bullet pock-marked walls available.

Of course that’s not good enough for debbie downer freeers...
They would have criticized Jesus Sermon on the Mount as he did not cover enough possibilities and Jesus pronouncements didn’t count because he didn’t follow through.
Ha
Otherwise, it will look political and Trump and his presidency will be diminished.
My good man, that is precisely what has happened since Trump won in 2016 and will never change...except to get worse.
The main thing is to keep the Senate R in this whole process or Trump will be impeached. The reason for the impeachment is unimportant.
Thank you. Bumping.
Anyone who doesn’t trust Barr but does trust Tucker is probably confused.
Anyone who doesnt trust Barr but does trust Tucker is probably confused.
But what a coincidence, recently I thought that about you but felt it would be rude to let you know my poor little opinion. Besides, thinking that those with differing opinions are confused is a convenient way to avoid actual thought.
Courtesy. Critical thought. It's usually here on FR, which is why I've lasted here as long as I have. I've probably never posted anything stronger than "You may be mistaken," which if correct, soon becomes obvious without my observation.
Have a wonderful day!
Refresh my memory: How many people have been indicted by Barr re. the Obama Admin. spying on the Trump campaign? How many indicted re. the Clinton corruption? And the Biden corruption? How many grand juries have been formed to investigate these crimes?
No patriot would have allowed a corrupt politician to continue to run for President if he knew the candidate was probably guilty, nor would he allow the charges to continue if he knew they were probably false. Yet Barr has done neither.
AG Barr seems to be a more clever member of the Deep State, but a member nevertheless.
If you were born after 1980, it’s likely you have a lower threshold for being offended. Maybe you weren’t.
I didn’t intend to offend you. My primary goal is usually to bring any given subject to light for the person on the receiving end. What I like best about this website is there are so many posters posting information that adds to my knowledge.
I still don’t know why anyone would trust Tucker but not Barr.
