Without additional context, this isn’t helpful news. Do we know how unusual it is for an agency head to meet with the majority leader outside of committee testimony? Do we know of any pending legislation that would explain her presence?
Trump appointed her.
If the Administration has something really big, she might want to cut some deal where she slithers away while some mid-level schmuck gets to be the fall guy.
Haspel is resigning would be my guess and is hoping to influence who her replacement will be. Still no reason for a public display. She could have called him.
