East Haddam Woman Fights Off Coyote With Pitchfork, Donkey

An East Haddam woman was reportedly attacked by a coyote twice in a single day. The coyote bit her boot before it was kicked by the donkey in the first instance. The same day, the coyote attacked again when the woman was driving her car near her home.

The neighbors encountered the coyote on their property and shot and killed it.

Best is Great Pyranees dogs. They watch sheep flocks, and while they are big, lovable animals, they can find 4th gear & run down a coyote & kill it.

“Coyote” and “Connecticut” somehow seem to NOT go together in the same sentence...

CT is thick with coyotes, only they aren't the wimpy, scrawny kind you find out west. These New England coyotes have been breeding with Canadian red wolves and are both bigger and a little more handsome an animal.

A coyote climbed a tree in my tard one night, trying to get to a possum. Possum went higher and coyote gave up. Couldn’t back down the tree so it jumped to the ground from about ten feet up. Trotted off like it was in a game. I keep a 22 close to the back door now.

Maybe concealed carry donkey. Very handy in such instances.
