Well, that’s another interesting thing. If the general election must be uniform, then wouldn’t the mail in ballots, and early voting, be void, since not all states did them uniformly? What about absentee voting-is that also in question? So many questions...

No. I would interpret the Constitution to say that the day must be uniform for the acceptance of all ballots. The legislatures had plenty of time during Covid to change state election laws to make concessions for a health emergency. I did not see the 50 states agree on extended the date of the election to past Nov. 3. People have had MONTHS to mail in their ballots. If they couldn’t get that done by the day of the election as specified by law (Nov. 3) that is too bad. The law is there for a reason. That only covers one aspect of this whle thing though. There are many aspects, but the election date is the election date period, Constitutionally.
