I’ve seen the GA Secretary of State or his sidekick use the word audit in a public statement. We’ll see.
I agree with his thesis.
Perhaps the FReepers could pick Pennsylvania and volunteer to compile the data on each of the PA counties.
Since PA has a lot of counties, we will need several volunteers.
I will be one of those.

The difference is, instead of a touch screen, where canidates are selected during a voting session, the voter instead fills out a paper ballet that is then scanned into a computer where software is in control.
There should be a display when the ballot is scanned, showing the voter his votes to verify the data entry stage. But this isn't done.
The advantage of paper ballots is that there is a paper trail.
A paper ballot replaces the touch screen, but the assessment of the vote count is all performed by computer automation - where vote shifting has been shown to be very possible.
A manual count of the paper ballots needs to be performed to have the most trustworthy counts.
In my opinion, manual counts should be performed three times, where the total for all three match before accepted for the precinct. Each count would rotate ballot sets across the auditors when counted.
