The difference now is that whatever the Senate proposes will no longer be automatically Dead On Arrival in Nancy's house.

Prior to election day, Nancy refused to work with Mnuchin or the Senate these past weeks, calculating that they could pin the failure to pass a bill on the GOP, with the collusion of their little evil Minions in the MSM screaming about 1000's more Covid deaths for every day that the GOP dilly-dallied.

She didn't calculate this would backfire with a thoroughly jaded electorate and would contribute to them actually LOSING House seats. So now the pressure is on her to pass a bill. She'll still fight hard to get at least a little Liberal Lard into the bill.

But certainly not the truckloads of Larded Pork that she was cynically demanding while knowing that this Pork would never fly with Mnuchin and the Senate.

Um, the Senate DID pass a couple bills before the election, bu they weren't taken up in the House. Likewise, the House (Pelosi) passed major spending boondoggles even bigger than the Repubs', but that's where they drew the line.

Him talking about it now is nothing but more talk - Dems appear to still hold the House, and even with heavily reduced margins, I don't see the Dems caving and passing any of the Senate's bills. And Mitch isn't stupid enough to be agreeing to Pelosi's $3T+ bill. So yea, just more bluster and arguing, same as before the election.

It’s the same bill they brought up before the election. Now that the dems know the senate is still republican, they will likely make a deal, where before they were using the lack of a bill to turn out their voters.
