McConnell is at heart a swamp creature. He may prefer Trump gone, believing it improves the odds of holding the Senate in 2022. His big thing is to be the Majority Leader.

Good for you Michelle. Problem is, the GOPe, (which includes McConnell), want Trump gone as much as the Dems do.
President Trump is bad for business. He riles people up, he draws attention to what is going on in Washington D.C. Trump has interrupted the revenue stream from China and Russia. Just bad business.
They want Slow Joe in, so he can project the image of a crazy old uncle and calm people down. Meanwhile, the left can shove through their agenda, while the political class can go back to selling America while no one notices.
God forbid the evil, putrid media should actually notice and report on it. Those bastards should be shot, one at a time, so the others can watch and wait their turn.

The Republican establishment is, by inaction,going along with the theft of this election. Don’t forget it.
McConnell is just worried about the Georgia runoff at this point. He figures if Biden wins then the Democrats won’t turn out next month.
