This DOB anomaly makes me think the system sees a null pointer (no data) and defaults to 1900. Is that a Unix thing?

That was my interpretation the other day - null yields 1900. An anomaly that needs to be explained nonetheless.

Maybe UNIX, maybe lotsa database systems, too.
