You do realize that Wray and Esper would be replaced by deputies who are almost certainly as bad as they are, don't you?

Both positions require Senate confirmation, and I can't imagine the U.S. Senate would be bothered with a confirmation process in a lame-duck session of Congress for appointees who may only be there for two and a half months.
