Today is the election day...
I still received fundraising emails from GOP...
I got an email from President Trump...
Senate GOP committee also sent me an email...
I did write a check for a small amount a few weeks ago for President's campaign...I got a fundraising letter from the re-election campaign...I thought about sending money to the GOP Senate campaign fund...But, I did not do that.
Do they expect anybody to contribute on the election day?
I think, in 2000, GOP did ask people contribute for Florida recount...
I don't know if there will be any recount this time anywhere...
They need additional money for legal battles
Yup. Today, in California, there are constant YouTube ads to mail in ballots. Further evidence that the general populace is STUPID.
I was going to post my own vanity, but I’ll just tag my ‘too late’ story here. Just got a recorded call from Barak Obama wanting me to go vote. Since I already voted a few weeks ago, I guess it is the old democrat thing of ‘vote early, vote often’.
I did circle by a voting location in a working class hispanic neighborhood today. No line, but there was a police presence.
My mostly white city had officers stationed at each precinct today. In past elections they usually has two officers assigned to election duties (we have 4 precincts) and would drive to each location, hang out for a bit to observe and then go to the the next one and repeat all day in addition to patrol officers were to drive thru the parking lots as part of their patrol if they drove by.
I got several texts from sally in Arizona and I’m nearly 2,000 miles away
I’ve received similar emails and seen social media ads for WinRed as well.
Same thing happened to me after McCain lost. Told them they could “pound sand”.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’ve been giving to Trump and some Senate candidates. I made my last contributions last Friday thinking all their ad buys must have been in. But I continued to be deluged with requests. Even tonight, at 7:30 pm on election day, I’ve received 11 requests in the last two hours. They’re still saying the same thing as pre-election.
When I contribute money, I hope that it will be used for buying ads...
But, who knows? Once the candidate has my money, he or she could use it for something else...
I might send some money to the GOP Senate Committee after all...There will be a run-off election in Georgia...
