Any not passing the authenticity check get removed from the count.
Some of that is “looks good on paper,” like the signature match.
So called “precise” paper weights is simple. You like have handled 20 pound and 24 pound paper, and 100 pound card stock (reference is to pounds per 1000 square feet or something like that), meaning ALL paper has a precise/specified paper weight - and size. The raw material is standard, unlike paper used to make money with is highly special to more strenuously deter counterfeiting.
Given the months-long lead up, DEMs have been harvesting ballots from old folks, neighborhoods, etc. the whole time - banking them. Same thing every election, but now they could work at leisure.
