I would encourage all American Partisan readers to study the two Daily Mail articles linked below very carefully. The millions who are fleeing Paris, and the millions who are preparing to flee London, do not all have standing invitations from rural cousins to come out and stay a while. They have no plan other than get to the country, then figure something out. This tweet from the Daily Mail article gives you one idea of an evacuation plan: Take over a mansion.

Now, in the American context, it might not be new and more draconian Covid-19 lockdowns that spurs a rash of mass exoduses from our major cities, it might be civil disorder, looting, riots and widespread arson. In any event, rural folks had better start thinking about ways to stop a flood of angry, frightened, hungry and dehydrated city dwellers who might be arriving in their zip-code on short notice.
Im reminded of a Hurricane Katrina story that was once well known on Arfcom. A fellow in northern Louisiana had told a few prepper friends that they could park their RVs on his small farm. So far so good, but friends told friends, the address was passed around, and soon every square foot of the tract was covered in RVs and tents. It wasnt long before a power shift occurred, and a committee of RV-dwelling perfect strangers marched to the house to demand access to the facilities. The owner of the land was no longer calling the shots, simply by weight of numbers.
Have a plan to keep this from happening in your AO, even if it means temporarily blocking bridges or other choke points.
The conservative Oregonians arrived in Idaho years ago. Some conservative friends left for Idaho last year, citing Oregon politics.
People selling their rural properties should be very selective as to whom they sell to thereby mitigating most problems of being overrun by LibTards.
Heh. Matt and his family have options.
1. He has a sailboat, his escape pod is ready.
2. He and his bride have been to our place in the woods and are welcome any time ;-)
The golden hoardes won’t ‘find’ our place. You have to work too hard.
When I first saw this I thought it was about all the d. yankees coming South!!
In real estate, politics is not a protected class. There are real estate agencies (Revolution Reality in Idaho for example) that specifically tell liberals to go away in their advertising. Others, like one I know closely have told agents not to show houses to people who show that they are liberal.
Respectfully, I disagree.
If Trump wins, his voters will feel more empowered and emboldened to FLIP OFF the Dem governors who might try to enact more lockdowns.
Some are on an island bigger than Connecticut and RI together with only about 100,000 living here..
Supply issues may get a bit dicey, but not zombies.
Bump
It is because leftist mayors are shutting down cities. People are trying to get out before the shutdown takes effect.
You better believe that leftist mayors and governors are green with envy over the panic that is caused by more of the shutdowns.
Why is there such a difference between these fleeing blue states and those who fled Cuba and now fiercely oppose communism?
I’d say it is because they have not yet lived under communism like Cubans, plus the liberal PR machine is quite powerful, blaming conservatives for all the bad things that happen as a direct result of liberal policy. It is crazy.
Yes, the leftists fleeing blue states would probably say the Cuban farmers ran into the bullets so it is their fault.
That's tyranny.
IMO, those fleeing Castro paid too great a price to not absorb the lesson.
Mulch. We deliver.
Lol. We can put 300-400 rounds in the air in 60 seconds. Listen boys - get your wife a nice 10/22 with 25 round mags. Same with your daughters. The 2 of them can dump 3 mags in 60 seconds with practice. My sons and I can easily swap out AK or AR platforms. Deer rifles if we want to go long range. I want to see these city folks do the 150 yard dash from the front gate to the front door. Then we move to shotguns with buckshot. They still aint in the house.
Really?
And how does one do that without ending up paying thousands in fines for “Discrimination”?
Example, my grandmother had a bad feeling about a renter, partly because she never got to meet the husband.
But was powerless to say no in CA as they met all the financials.
Turned out to be a “Mixed race” couple with He having an undisclosed criminal history.
Little matter of having murdered his first wife, in front of the son.
A few months later the son raped and killed another tenant who was a deaf-mute.
One of his shots missed another tenant by inches.
This was decades ago, sellers/renters now have even LESS control.
To top it off, the murdering son pretty much skated, “Traumatized” from witnessing his Mom’s murder.
Governors can’t make laws. If he pulls this bs I suggest marching on the Kentucky statehouse.
Liberal refugees, don’t vote for what you fled.
Intrestingly enough he has had a big fence built around the governor’s mansion which is literally across the street from the state house and I understand he is having it fortified
And who’s to say it’s discrimination with respect to selling a property. Why hire a realtor when you can do it yourself? Simple discernment via a few well phrased questions and/or statements generally exposes the LibTard rather quickly. There’s a responsibility (or there used to be) to those you leave behind in the neighborhood, so to speak. So, prove the alleged discrimination as I don’t have to sell to just anybody regardless of the pile of benjamins they’re waving in my face.
With respect to renters, that’s generally a different ballgame altogether and unfortunately state law dependent. Thorough background checks and references usually weed out the riff-raff. Would not want to be a landlord with rental property in some states (well any state under the current circumstances) as your rights as a landlord are pretty much superseded by the state.
Sorry to hear about that with your grandmother but gut instinct is usually spot on. Those laws can only be changed by honorable people in positions of authority.
