RURAL FOLK: BEWARE THE MASS URBAN EXODUS
https://www.americanpartisan.org/2020/10/rural-folk-beware-the-mass-urban-exodus/ ^ | Matt Bracken

I would encourage all American Partisan readers to study the two Daily Mail articles linked below very carefully. The millions who are fleeing Paris, and the millions who are preparing to flee London, do not all have standing invitations from rural cousins to come out and stay a while. They have no plan other than “get to the country, then figure something out.” This tweet from the Daily Mail article gives you one idea of an evacuation plan: “Take over a mansion.”

Now, in the American context, it might not be new and more draconian Covid-19 lockdowns that spurs a rash of mass exoduses from our major cities, it might be civil disorder, looting, riots and widespread arson. In any event, rural folks had better start thinking about ways to stop a flood of angry, frightened, hungry and dehydrated city dwellers who might be arriving in their zip-code on short notice.

I’m reminded of a Hurricane Katrina story that was once well known on Arfcom. A fellow in northern Louisiana had told a few prepper friends that they could park their RVs on his small farm. So far so good, but friends told friends, the address was passed around, and soon every square foot of the tract was covered in RVs and tents. It wasn’t long before a power shift occurred, and a “committee” of RV-dwelling perfect strangers marched to the house to demand access to the facilities. The owner of the land was no longer calling the shots, simply by weight of numbers.

Have a plan to keep this from happening in your AO, even if it means temporarily blocking bridges or other choke points.

When Trump wins in states with leftist governors, I expect these governors to enact harsh lockdowns to punish citizens who did not “vote the right way”.

Many of the citizens of these states, even the ones who did “vote the right way”, will flee.

I’m in Kentucky which I’m sure will go overwhelmingly for Trump, but I suspect the stupid governor, Boslshevik in Training, Baby-Face-Bashear, will pull out all the stops with Covid crackdowns. He’s been hinting at it for over a week.

Unless you are really in the boonies away from roads and civilization you are vulnerable. Right now it is civilized migration. If the cities collapse it is road warrior time.

Too bad these folks won’t stay in their states and fight these tyrants....rather than flee.

I could hear a leaf blower on the property next to me. It’s one of the many recreational properties around here. Most are from St Louis and come down for weekends. This property next to me is owned by someone from Illinois. They’re probably concerned about the coming riots considering it’s not the weekend or deer season. Another neighbor’s son moved down here a few months ago. Evidently someone that can work remotely. I’m right against the Mark Twain National Forest and people have been buying up properties here left and right. I’m sure for some of them, it’s a place to bug out.

Tell me about it, Matt. North Idaho is becoming a refugee camp for disaffected Californians. Some of them are fine, conservative folks. The others, not so much.

Well, people are fleeing places like California, Illinios and New York and I would say that a majority vote the same way in their new place of residence. Why is there such a difference between these fleeing blue states and those who fled Cuba and now fiercely oppose communism?

I actually think the pandemic ends tonight.

Trump is going to fire Fauci and a bunch of other doctors. He is going to pivot to a return to normal. He’ll start going after these governors with civil rights suits, even if that means he has to fire Barr.

After tonight Trump is beyond worrying about the political repercussions of anything.

Does anyone know if these people are fleeing because of the terror attacks or because of COVID or what?

Who knew the attackers coming over the hill would be what we used to call yuppies armed at most with their just-purchased Glocks and no ammo ... easy pickins?

Target states need to change their constitutions to not allow voting until extensive education and examination (hard, lengthy tests witnessed by >= 4+th generation patriots who are allowed to challenge applicants) have occurred, and in no case sooner than five years.

N. Idaho is also seeing lots escaping Seattle and greater Puget Sound, too. Not too many Oregonians (so far).

When the Wuhan first hit, my liberal neighbor invited her homeless in Philadelphia 40 year old nephew to live with them. A month later the useless bum was heard on the phone, inviting his buddies to come and camp in their back yard. They flew him back to PA.

My neighbors are still clueless liberals.

“yuppies armed at most with their just-purchased Glocks and no ammo ... easy pickins?”

Don’t take them lightly. The ones I know are armed and know how to use it.

Your rural enclave will be run overun in minutes if there are 200+ starving city folk running towards your house from all directions wanting your food.

True. So far I like the Californians a lot better! Everyone I’ve met from the Seattle area has been an A$$hole.
