“I’m finally not putting up with [paying] 60% to 70% of my gross to the government,” says Simmons. “I am going to a much more welcoming state where there is no income tax, no local and state taxes. Federal taxes are enough.”

I’d vote for a 95 percent tax on all actors and musicians regardless of income level. Maybe that would teach them.

Washington has been moving Left and will probably raising taxes soon.

Has been moving left????.

Hell, my state has driven off the road that are so far left (just not as far as Oregon, but close). The Dims are pulling all sorts of tricks to put in an income tax. The only thing that slows them is that our state constitution prohibits them.

I did say SOME of the highest, and we do. Other taxes in this state are also high. But those may be comparable to Ca, it’s been years since we left LA so I can’t recall.

Then there’s what’s going on in Seattle every night. They are competing with Portland in a race for asshole of the country.

Absolutely...
Have some "former" relatives (in-laws) who moved to FL from CT 15-years ago and we hear that they proudly continue to vote the straight communist ticket...
"Former" because wife & I no longer acknowledge their existence as part of our family...

Example is Denmark had Corp tax of 50% in 1985, it is now 22%. 2018 max individual rates are 57% Sweden, 55% Denmark & 48% Norway BUT that comes with excellent social system benefits.

Fun fact:

Paul McCartney played lead guitar (and bass) on “Taxman”...even though George Harrison wrote the song.

Paul also played drums on “The Ballad of John and Yoko”. He played every instrument on his first solo album.

Yep.

A friend remastered “McCartney” and gifted me a CDR burned direct from the master tape. the laser burned CDR is far superior to the pressed commercial CD.

The CDR gift also includes some “dry” tracks without the reverb that was later added as McCartney loved how his voice sounded with reverb.

Fun facts during the “White Album”...

Although Abbey Road was the Beatles primary studio, they traveled to Trident Studio to use their “new” 8-track system and large Tannoy loudspeakers as monitors.

The songs recorded at Trident included “Hey Jude”, “Dear Prudence”, “Martha My Dear”, Honey Pie” and, IIRC, “I Want You” for their last album.

McCartney was interviewed about those sessions and commented the Trident’s 8-track was far superior to Abbey Road’s antiquated 4 track as well as the Tannoy monitors.

Another IIRC, Trident had a 100 year old piano whose sound was so clear it blew away McCartney during his recording of “Hey Jude”

On the remixed/remastered version of the White Album, the Trident tracks are noticeable more clear, transparent and detailed.

Mt Shasta is a beautiful place to live.

My sisters lived there for a number of years.

I loved visiting the area.

The story I heard is that one of the reasons the Beatles broke up was that they were upset that Paul was spending so much time on the song “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”, which may have been the first song by a major artist that used a synthesizer.

I *think* you are talking about Norway & its 48% personal income taxation maximum so I agree, but thought it unnecessary to burden my reply with extraneous to the point that the Scandinavian trio are no longer at 110% taxation.

Now if you want an eye-opener referencing expensive government costs, look at what Finland & Switzerland did with progressive speeding fines. " Back in 2002, former Nokia director Anssi Vanjoki was caught driving 47mph in a 30mph zone on his motorbike and was fined $103,600. More recently, in 2015, Reima Kuisla, a Finnish businessman, had to pay $62,000 for driving 15mph above the 30mph speed limit. The Guinness World Records claim for the largest speeding ticket belongs to a Swiss man who was caught driving 85mph in a 50mph zone in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He was fined for $290,000 US Dollars. The man was driving a Ferrari Testarossa, and the fine was based on his 22.7 million dollar wealth. The fine was made higher as he was a repeat offender."

It certainly could be true.

That said, they were breaking-up before the Abbey Road album from a myriad of forces including that witch from Japan. There were significant concerns about the financial management.

The White Album is kinda special to me. I was a 19y/o kid when I moved from Ohio to Hollywood. One Sat afternoon I was listening to KHJ on my cheap clock radio sitting atop my refrigerator.

They were playing songs I had never heard and the “DJ” was telling stories about each track or what was occurring in the studio.

The DJ? George Harrison
The Album? The White Album

I bought it a week later at a shop on Sunset.

I don’t think that he does; I remember that he was complimentary of W’s Israel dealings versus Obama’s. He should really be loving Trump.
