That is good to hear. Funny thing is growing up in India I did not realize how bad the system was. All major industries were run by the gov’t and those which were privately owned were so corrupt, it was impossible for competition to begin operations, such as auto manufacturing.
After seeing the American system first hand, I could then see the faults of Indian system. Just to secure a flight on gov’t run airlines in India, I had to make 3 visits to their office in 1970’s during my visit. In USA one phone call was all that was needed to buy a seat on a flight. During my visit I had to spend half a day in the bank to exchange my dollars into rupees. Whereas I exchanged dollars into rupees in a few minutes in a US bank dealing with foreign exchange. To buy a car in India you had to put down a deposit and wait several months to a few years before you were allotted a car and the color was whatever was available either black or white. Again this is in 1960-70 era. All different now!
