Most of us have experienced being warned in our spirit—about:
a death, impending death or high danger situation of a loved one
to slow down or speed up or take a different route to avoid a deadly or dangerous accident (or attack via car)
to caution or alert a loved one about something serious.
I have long thought that Believers could count on Holy Spirit to be our Comms channel when all else went down. Not that we could order such but we could request such.
I wonder if we could practice with Him, now?
I have done it occasionally over the years. Seemed to work—at least several times.
“Dear Holy Spirit, subject to Your will—please impress on ___________ that ____
Excellent. Amen and Amen...!!
Rely on the Holy Spirit’s direction. And ask for His Will.
He cannot lie. He cannot lead us away from Christ.
Romans 8:26
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
That being said, remember 1 John 3 —
4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
