DeKalb, Clayton: Long gone. Two of the worst counties in the entire U.S.
Cobb, Gwinnett: Democrats have staged a mass invasion, Republicans have fled in droves. These are large, important counties. Now they are large, important DEMOCRAT counties.
Douglas, Henry, Newton, Rockdale: have recently flipped and are highly likely to un-flip.
Next to go are Spalding and Fayette.

I think the film industry has had some influence too for some of these counties (esp Gwinnett and Cobb) going blue. When Deal gave all those tax breaks to the film industry I dreaded that it would bring a lot of liberal votes to the state. My nephew was a set designer for Walking Dead and according to him, it’s not the actors so much, but all the crews and such moving here from places like CA.
Georgia is a very large state even without Atlanta.
