I love yarn. Mostly thicker weight yarn 5, 6, 7 and beyond. I also like making things using multi-thread thinner yarns. I use large crochet hooks and knitting needles. I make blankets, baby blankets, slippers, hats, premie hats, and scarves. I pray over them as I make them. I’ve made so many blankets, I’ve lost count and I rarely take pictures of them. I’m usually so happy to finish them, I just hand them over to their new owners.
I just finished a lapghan and a hat/scarf set. I’m between projects now. Don’t really have anything on the hook. It has been a long time since that has happened, especially this time of year. Looking forward to hearing what everyone else working on. Maybe get some ideas.

I found Christmas themed panels at Hobby Lobby and purchased for granddaughters. Since I live in South Texas I just backed with flannel, zig zaged around edge with sewing machine and crocheted a pretty border.
Now Im trying to crochet some face scrubbers in 2 ply cotton yarn. Im making them about four inch square. I made some once with regular 4 ply but they were too thick to wash and dry normally.

I just came here to say,
SEW WHAT
That is all.

The weather’s turned cooler here; we had a freeze warning last night! Always makes me think of being snuggly cozy warm and knitting something. Hard to think about having something piled in your lap when it’s 90+ degrees outside!

I enjoyed this thread last winter. I made a variety of sewing and crochet projects all given away. I only have a few things lined up for this winter and none of them fiber related. In 2018 made a couple of wreaths with natural materials. Gave them both away. Going to do a third. I like the little cabin with birch bark and pine cone roof idea. I think the next wreath I will keep for awhile. Pardon the craft slide.

I really like that. Kind of like half a poncho.

Definitely not “skimpy”. I like triangular shawls ... the way they look before you put them on; however, once on, all of the shawl tends to be in the back - the only real way to get more in the front is to make the back even longer/bigger. Rectangular shawls are ok, but this one, with the unique shape, really drapes around the front nicely. I might have to give this one a try!

I see what you mean. I wonder how it would look if you truncated the back, maybe give it a more rounded shorter look.

I agree! I’ve been on a Crochet Kick since we cooled down, too.
However, I will work on cotton dishcloths any time of the year. Quick, easy, portable, and not hot on your lap! ;)

My last craft show just cancelled. Normally this is busy time making Christmas money and my fabric money for the rest of the year....😢 At least I can tackle some UFOs

I’m sorry to hear that! Seems to be common practice all over the place this season. :(

Here is the latest crocheted afghan I've made. Same pattern that won me the Blue Ribbon at the County Fair this past season, but it's for our bedroom, so the colors match the bedding, curtains and future paint and carpeting. Total WIP, that room! I used 'I Love This Yarn!' from Hobby Lobby. Not really crazy about how light the center turned out, but it's too late to rip it all out, now. The colors looked great together when they were still just skeins of yarn. The next afghan color combo is going to match Planet Jupiter, see below. I'm thinking of doing an afghan and several scarves in planet-specific colors, just for kicks or for entry in the Fair for 2021.
