What a career!
The only Bond.
“Love may not make the world go round, but I must admit that it makes the ride worthwhile.
“I’m an actor - it’s not brain surgery. If I do my job right, people won’t ask for their money back.”
- Sean Connery
I’m shaken that he has not now stirred. Nevermore.
:’(
What unfortunate news! We are all saddened.
“The best Bond ever. RIP”
The original and one and only Bond, James Bond! Everyone since in that role was like someone trying to play John Wayne! RIP.
Great actor. I don’t think I saw any of his James Bond movies, but he was great in every movie I saw him in.
RIP!!
There can be only ONE! James Bond. He has moved on and taken a new identity!
“Thomas Sean Connery, named Thomas after his grandfather, was born in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Scotland on 25 August 1930. His mother, Euphemia “Effie” McBain McLean, was a cleaning woman. She was born the daughter of Neil McLean and Helen Forbes Ross, and named after her father’s mother Euphemia McBain, wife of John McLean and daughter of William McBain from Ceres in Fife. Connery’s father, Joseph Connery, was a factory worker and lorry driver . “
White privilege ?
“May God grant us the wisdom to discover right, the will to choose it, and the strength to make it endure.”
—Sean Connery
Rest in Peace, Mr. Bond. You affected many lives with your mission.
Connery’s role as a tough Irish cop in The Untouchables is one of my favorites. RIP
Sad. RIP Mr Connery.
Never saw a Bond movie, for some reason just wssn’t interested (didn’t watch movies at all back then)
Connery was great in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Rising Sun, Hunt for Red October was one of the best movies ever...can’t remember what else he did, think I saw a couple of others. Oh yeah, Highlander. Another great one.
From Lilacs in the Spring (1954) to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003).
A touching Tribute to the man:
