Utah authorities are trying to determine if the hiker concocted the tale about going missing to defraud people donating to GoFundMe Holly Courtier, the mom who supposedly went missing for 12 days in Utah’s Zion Park, is now the subject of a criminal probe, Crime Online reports.
On October 18, the 38-year-old mom turned up alive and unharmed in the park. In the days since, park and law enforcement officials have heavily scrutinized Holly Courtier’s claims that she had gone missing and somehow managed to survive on her own for nearly two weeks.
For example, while Holly Courtier’s family has insisted that the Los Angeles resident could barely walk on her own when she was found, Zion National Park’s Acting Chief of Interpretation Amanda Rowland has shot down this claim. The mom, no longer missing, was able to walk on her own with minimal assistance at that point, Rowland insists.
Now the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has announced it is opening an investigation in response to a slew of tips suggesting that Courtier faked her disappearance as a part of a coordinated scam to defraud people donating to a GoFundMe fundraising plea set up by her sister, Jaime Strong, to aid in the search for her.

My first thought was that there must have been a love interest involved, although it was hard to guess which of the 387 possible "genders" it might have been.
Maybe she had a rendezvous with destiny. Bob Destiny, over in Finance.
She needs a padded cell in a mental health facility....yes crazy eyes say it all...

Maybe she was doing her version of a Jesse Jackson ‘hunger strike’.
Although most here likely don’t remember, long ago Jesse was hunger strike to protest conditions in black neighborhoods (seem so quaint now), when, after 30 days, a reporter asked him why he didn’t seem to have lost any weight. Jesse stated something to the effect that in his form of a hunger strike, other people rotate in and out for him, so after a day or two, he gets to ‘grab a bite’.
Agree. Terri Schaivo was dead, 14 days after the Powers that Be took away her access to water.
Indeed they are the ones who yell oh oh your the one a true warning sign to get the hell out of the area.
