DELTONA, Fla. (AP) A Florida woman was so angered by her cable provider that she drove to their office, demanded a refund and smashed the cash register with a crowbar, police said.
Diahianna Serraty went to the Spectrum office on Tuesday to demand her money back. She yelled at employees when they explained the refund policy, smashed a cash register with a crowbar and took some money,

Read the article again. She went to the SPECTRUM office. I live in Florida, and a good part of FL has Spectrum Cable service, as do I. I must say that I’ve had very few problems with my Spectrum service. So far so good. So, I guess I’ll leave my crowbar in the shed for other uses, such as if mayhem somehow occurs outside my domain on election night.
Are you wearing Beer Goggles already?
She looks slightly intoxicated. Perfect... :)
I keep an extra pair next to the computer. :)
I had Comcast for a while here. They were so bad that I dropped all but their internet and went with Dish.
Then something really cool happened - the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga came out with a fiber internet/cable network. I switched to that and my service has been exceptional. Cable is costly still, but the internet is lightning fast. Upload and download.
*Speak softly and carry a big crowbar.
Well, yes, sort of - multiple satellite options that compete with cable.
But the best bet is to get an antenna, a streaming box to supplement it, and stop paying for TV altogether.
Im at work, saw your post and had to look.
Now I want to know what kind of beer you drink!
Don’t seem to be any good guys here.
Can’t remember the name, let me look....
Oh, here it is...
I’m sharing a beer that’s called loneliness
But its better than drinking alone?
H/T to Billy Joel.
If she was joe byedone she would have demanded the ceo resign and extorted a million for her family.
Spectrum is a worse cable provider. I used to manage a cable company in a city next to one of theirs. They made us look good.
A little makeup and some gypsy hoops, maybe. And..2 beers.
maybe 4 beers. :)
Comcast is horrible
Here in Florida they have a “Seasonal Convenience Plan.” Used to be $5/month. Now jacked up to $8/month.
With this plan you get a promise that you DON’T have to deal with their customer service people when you return next winter season and re-up your internet service. You actually get NOTHING for those months.
So basically their customer service interface is SO horrible they have people willing to pay $8/month for 6 months of NO SERVICE in exchange for NOT having to deal with their customer service people.
The sad part is, I do this every year. And the sadder part is, it NEVER works. I always have to contact somebody to get the internet to work.
This year I was informed my modem is no longer supported. They could have informed me that the modem is no longer supported while I was away for 6 months.
Then they linked me to a site that supposedly lists supported modems. I go to Best Buy to pick one up (no time to order on line). They have completely different selection of modems. Many with the Xfinity logo right on them. I got one of those even though it wasn’t on their website and it works fine. They obviously don’t keep their website up to date.
I scrolled on down. I guessed wrong.
Still not taking a side on the dispute.

I’ve had a very bad experience with Spectrum recently, I understand her anger.
As soon as the election is over, I’m cutting them off. They raised me by 25%, and when I cut my service, they raised it to 35%, for less service. Without telling me the price would go up.
That’s why the Comcast office where I live has bulletproof glass. :-)
