Ice Cube said he did not want to be a part of a Zoom call with Sen. Kamala Harris that included other ‘entertainers’

Ice Cube has been adamant that Democrats told him to hold off until after the election before making demands for his “Contract With Black America.” However, he admitted that he blew off a Zoom call with vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

I know that rappers such as Ice Cube, and even hip-hop in general, are frowned upon here on FR and throughout most conservative circles. Ice Cube has made derogatory remarks against women, the police, Jews, Koreans, and even white women in the past (in one song, he called white women "cave b*tches").

But you have to get a sense that a dam is breaking. You see rapper Li'l Wayne meeting with Trump, Kanye West was already friends with Trump, 50 Cent (yeah he backtracked, but I think it was for optics. I think deep down he supports Trump). But you see how the Democrats treat black voters? It's all about entertainment and you see Biden getting interviewed by Cardi B, but it's not serious or anything. I think Cube wants something concrete, something done for blacks (why he's not pointing the finger at his elected local and state Dems, is beyond me), and he sees that Trump is genuinely helping blacks.

This is very good and I’m really excited for the role African-American leaders, not just rappers, will play in enacting the MAGA agenda in Trump’s second term. It’s as though the Covid shutdown and all that has ensued since, has allowed for much to be clarified and the fog to lift.

Some of them realize their livelihood depends on a good economy

If they don’t want us to change our underlying philosophy or adopt their style and language. If they just want to be listened to, and get an honest response, we can work on that level.

Black America hardly deserves a ‘contract with America’ after we’ve bent over backwards to give them special privilege in schools, welfare, athletics, criminal justice, (yes, we’re extra lenient on them in justice when they commit far more crime than their percentage of population) and entertainment. White America’s done more than our share to help them achieve the American dream, we’ve helped make many of them millionaires. We’ve extended a helping hand in every way possible, but to what end? We were getting to the point where at least white folks were not judging them by the color of their skin but only by the content of their character. What do we get in return? In may cases it’s a knock-out punch to the backs of our heads, and just for the crime of being a vulnerable white person around a gang of hateful black thug ingrates.

With all the violence, looting, rioting, burning and general mayhem we’re seeing it shows that for many blacks, the content of their character really sucks! So what’s the use? Now they want a ‘contract with America’? How about, straighten the f*** up and we won’t have to destroy you? That’s the contract I’m making.

yeah, I’m quite fed up.

“Some of them realize their livelihood depends on a good economy”

Maybe. Or just maybe they are in touch with their community and they can see the tide shifting, and they want to be seen as out in front of it rather than opposed to it (or worse, out of touch)

I understand completely. I grew up in Los Angeles in the 70s and 80s. However, this time, it’s the white liberals that are leading and coordinating the destruction. The hood color may have changed but Democrats are still the same - burning down black areas and attacking Republicans.

Hopefully enough Blacks have seen that Malcom X was correct on one thing. The white liberal is the greatest enemy to their community.

I recall reading a few years ago that recording artists make almost nothing from their albums. That money goes primarily to the record labels.

The recording artists make their money from concert tickets and merchandise sales at the concerts. But they have to produce albums in order to get the public to buy concert tickets.

So Covid is bankrupting the artists. Which might explain why they're supporting Trump in getting life back to normal.
