I've still got pictures of me as a kid with several different NFL players at meet and greet events. They were always well dressed and wearing ties. They never talked politics. They were there to sell the NFL and whatever company was sponsoring the event.
These guys are in for a big surprise. These inflated salaries are due to network money, subsidized stadiums, overpriced fan gear and high ticket prices. The NFL average price for a ticket was $203 last year, with the Patriots getting over $500 average ticket price. Jerry Jones charges $75 to park at Jerry World.
That's all going away.
What a loss! /s
Maybe we could get some enjoyable players not primadonna jerks who beat women, do drugs, lie incessantly and hate America.
It deserved to go away a long time ago. It took all of two months of temporarily living in the athletic team housing at a university (one of the pro sports' many "farm teams") to swear off "sports" for the rest of my life.
