Looters in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia ransacked a Walmart during the second night of protesting the shooting of an armed Black man on the city’s west side. Rioters broke pipes in the ceiling, flooding the store.
Fox29 reporter Steve Keeley tweeted video from inside the pillaged Walmart early Wednesday morning. The footage shows the devastation left behind by looters who stole everything from big-screen televisions to small appliances. Water is seen spraying from pipes in the ceiling.
The unrest began after two officers shot and killed an armed Black man, Walter Wallace, Jr. Video captured by a witness shows Wallace advancing on two police officers around a car and into the street. Officers ordered Wallace repeatedly to drop the knife.
Wallace continued approaching the retreating officers with the knife extended toward the police. Multiple shots rang out and Wallace fell to the ground. A responding police officer loaded Wallace into a vehicle and drove him to the hospital. He later died from his wounds.

That was the first thing I thought. Complain about the lack of grocery/restaurant options, then destroy what few you have. Complain again.
Who in their right mind would start, invest or insure a business in a Democrat controlled urban area?
From what I’m told, Wal-Mart has been making strides to rival Amazon in home delivery or in-store pickup.
Mayhem like this will only serve to push them farther in that direction. Close more stores in Looterville, keep the ones open in Hooterville.
And those who can get things delivered will do so. Like me. Lessens the risk of being caught in one of these “peaceful protests” and injured. Better for the company’s profit margin, too, as loss from riot or theft diminishes.
This is coming (back) to all major dem cities on Nov 4. Be ready for it.
I doubt that it’s an insurance scam. Wal*Mart’s market is lower income people, regardless of race. They are the anti WholeFoods stores. This is terrible for the people who live in that neighborhood. These people are despicable.
After the July, 1967 black riots in Detroit, until just recently, no supermarkets or major big box places were built within the city itself. All in the outer suburbs. A few timid tries were met with rampant shoplifting and being shutdown when any black cause was current again later. Not worth reduilding. The "growth" in Detroit was from showcase taxpayer and big corporation white guilt money: football and baseball stadiums, glitzy hotels and office space for use on website photos and so on. Don't venture 1.5 miles outward----burned out abandoned buildings galore.
So now CA,NYC,Portland,Seattle and similar places could have only the prissy BLM kissups (Nike,Starbucks,Google,etc.) putting investment in them. Except they usually just keep appeasing the Left anyway. Reputable corporations should head for "flyover country"----now. The record number of their customers leaaving the urban hellholes should teach them something.
IMMEDIATELY WALMART should announce ALL stores in Philadelphia will close permanently. NO negotiations. It is over.
Instead of placating these BLUE Hell Holes, businesses need to start playing hardball.
Goodbye jobs, mostly Black.

I wonder if these “sacrificial lamb” locations within the cities are to keep the criminal element from venturing out to the suburbs where a lot of the real money is made.
And the Walmart website has an entire webpage dedicated to explaining why it is eagerly funding Marxist BLM and enthusiastically praising the violent Marxist Black Lives Matter wild thug mob riot organization.
Based on all of that, it almost seems Walmart is compensating a third-party organization (in corporate-speak) to totally destroy its own stores. For all the business gurus out there, is that financially prudent?

Sure, somebody connected to the owner took their lives in their hands to wade through the looters so that they could break a pipe for the insurance. Or, Walmart actually negotiated with these lowlifes in order to get their store trashed?
