Not a fan in the slightest of bazeball, but my youngest brother ia a Dodger fanatic. As it happens, I was at his house for whatever game that was when Kirk Gibson pulled off the clutch performance of his life. Major insanity, but by then we were both drunk.
According to my little bro' that was the all-time Dodger highlight. Dimly recall Howard's name as a kid. Think he struck out a lot.

It was, as far as I'm concerned. I was in a bar full of Oakland A's fans when that went down. As Kirk hobbled to the plate, I chanted, "Kirk! Kirk! Kirk!" They A's fans looked at me like I was crazy.
I made much noise as they wept in their beers.
The only thing that would have made it more awesome was if it were game 7.
