IIRC, his assassin’s execution was also filmed (silently) in one of the first newsreel images ever filmed. They put him in the electric chair, put a hood over his head and then turned on the juice. Must see TV, right there.

1901, the year my beloved Uncle Vint was born. My Dad’s older brother, he was too young for WW1 and too old for WWII.
Growing up in Nebraska, he told about the time when he was walking to school when he about 6 years-old and an old Sioux warrior walked up to him and took the bandana from around his neck. The next day, the Indian walked up to him and gave him a beautiful beaded bag in exchange for the bandana. The beaded bag is now on display in a museum in Nebraska. My uncle was a great guy, he died in 1981. He would be 119 now.
