A few weeks ago, I was talking to a relatively high-level sports executive about the election, which is to say we were discussing something terrible Donald Trump had said or done. We agreed that Trump was likely to lose. “But he could always still win — even Nate Silver says that,” I remarked.
The executive then said something that stunned me, though the more and more I think about it, the more sense it makes. “If Trump wins, or if he refuses to concede, I’m telling you right now: There won’t be any sports for a month,” he said. “Maybe more. These kids just won’t stand for it.”

Why should they? All they care about is their 7 figure salary and the apparel endorsements. If they did take a stand, do you honestly think the colleges and universities would back the coach up? They invented this woke crap. People need to realize that college football is just as bad as the NFL and kick it to the curb also.

Sports for many is like an addiction. Once you are cured of it, you wonder why you ever bothered to begin with?
I was a big sports fan from 1976 until about 2006. The staws that broke the camel’s back was the blatant and obvious cheating in the Steeler/Hawks superbowl of 2006. Then the Kap thing took me from even watching the playoffs. Today, it’s all so laughably bad that I couldn’t possibly imagine ever watching a game again. And I used to fairly frequently go to games in person, and spend 2-3 days a week watching televised sports.
These fools today don’t realize that they are destroying their careers and an industry that came long before they were born. It will never come back, it’s dead. And good riddance.
