Too much sodium........................
I’ve been making my own for a long time, using a low sodium brine with lite soy sauce plus sugar and some other seasonings.
Little Chief smoker in summer, oven in winter. A bottle of Alaskan Amber and you’re set.
When I feel I’m getting over salted and still want bacon ham or jerky I will give it a water soak before cooking. Doesn’t work well with potato chips.
Just drink lots of water
