Hospitalized for a hernia?
depends on how bad it was- they can be life threatening- i had to be hospitalized for one when i was a teen- but went home quickly after the operation- pain wasn’t too bad from the operation-

You can die from a hernia. I went to my doctor for abdominal pain and was in the hospital under the knife that afternoon.
And it is a nasty way to go.
Depending on the type and size, they can wrap themselves around your intestines, and cause a blockage that can kill you.
