Welcome. My lovely wife and I canceled accounts a year or so ago. So happy not to see all the garbage that was posted daily.

zuckerberg aggressively created a monopoly on the Internet and censors conservative speech on facebook.
After the election I think this is a good plan. If Trump loses his best retaliation would be to put together a competitive alternative and allow speech to be free again.

I dislike farcebook immensely and I have it locked down as much as possible, however, it is my connection with family out of state. I use FBP to block ads and a few other things. But, I have decided once the election is over my account is getting deleted. My family can text me directly, don’t need to fuel the propaganda machine.
I cancelled my account on the CIA’s/Zuckerberg’s LifeLog/Facebook about 3 weeks ago, but they delay a full closure for 30 days. Even then, the fine print said some of my stuff would still be visible. Not sure what all that’s about, and it doesn’t much matter to me since I haven’t added anything to it for years. My wife is still on - I’ll ask her in a couple of weeks if she sees any evidence of me anywhere on the site.
The 30 day delay in full closure strikes me as weird - like they need to have a reviewer take a look at my posts for wrong-think or something.
They banned me for life for endorsing Donald j Trump for president and endorsing conservative supreme Court justices on the Michigan ballot here in November. They also at the same time deleted my 95,000 strong member group on Facebook as well as 83 individual groups for associated counties in one felled swoop. I am not even able to dispute or appeal their decision.

That has been completely debunked. It’s a meth pipe ... or so say the “fact checkers.”
Never had a FB or Twitter account. I never understood why I need one. It seems like the more connected we are on the internet, the more stupid we get.
Same here: posted the American Thinker article about HB on FB...received the same message that the story violated FB Community Standards. They wouldn’t allow the link to be sent via the message service either. I will close out my account on Nov 4
They’ve been able to institute an Orwellian Ministry of Propaganda with an insidious bait and switch strategy.
They deleted the same American Thinker article on my account today too. I am also royally pissed.
Why would anyone want to have anything to do with Facebook to begin with?
I’m getting turned off to their behavior, I’m just not participating as much.
Every log in makes them richer and stronger.
