At the Trump Parade in North Haven CT
Big crowd. Getting ready to roll.
Probably. There was one in Enfield as well. It was a “thing” in the ‘70s, I guess.
Well whaddya know....the State that is the spiritual home of the proverbial martini sipping, wife swapping, “socially Liberal/fiscally Conservative”, country club GOP Establishment is having a Trump rally??!!
Heavens Blanche, what will the neighbors think! Pour me a double, this is a bit too much. I’ll be out on the terrace for a breath of fresh air
Fake IDs and drinking age of 18. It was the annex of Danbury H.S. I felt so excluded because I couldn’t get in until I was almost . . 17 ;)
My Mom called them “Silk Stocking Republicans”.
Hey, Paul Ryan....that name rings a bell....didn’t he play shortstop for the Brewers some years back?
Yes, same thing, but no swingers, everyone was single. Just a meat market. After a while, all of the phones were destroyed. The numbers were on red globe lights, they got smashed, too, along with the patrons.
Did Boise Kimber jump on anyone’s truck ?
Yep, we went from Wharton Brook park down to the town green,
Angelos Piza and Woolco’s. Those were the days. In 9th grade, my friend Rose and I ate lunch every Saturday at the Woolco’s luncheonette because it was about the only thing to do before yo had a drivers license.
Mr Kitty took a lot of pictures. I will post them when he gets them downloaded.
Home from the Parade and not trying to post from my I]iPhone 4s.
We guesstimate about 1000 vehicles including a huge tractor with “Trump 2020” painted on the front blade. We somehow ended up being at the very beginning of the line, probably car #12. Went from Wharton Brook State Park down to the town Green. We parked our car in the Congregation Church parking lot and took up a spot on the corner across from the Green and joined the festivities by waving our “Trump 2020” flag and yelling out “four more years.” Good number of people on the Green including Trump himself. Okay, it was a someone wearing a Trump mask, but he was popular.
A good number of people on the sidelines cheering us on as we went down Route 5 and a good number on the Green. There were still a fw cars making the trek after 1PM when Mt Kitty’s cold toes and stomach told him we had to go pick up something for lunch.
One BLM truck that tried to lead the parade but was disappointed when the parade didn’t follow. Saw him go by later when we were on the Green and yelled at him “Dude, you’re not Black. Stop the cultural appropriation” though there were so many horns honking and yelling, I doubt he heard me. One other BLM banner went by a bit later to no response but even people not sporting Trump signs and flags were waving and honking.
All in all, a great time. I sure hope this is a positive sign for the election
If a little Connecticut town can get 1000 people to turn out for a Trump parade, I have to agree
And we know that leftists are the most racist bunch there is and never get called out on it.
Angeos was on Washington Ave near Blakeslee Ave. CVS in there now
“Dail Tone?” First bar I ever got into with my fake ID. What a hoot that place was. Not that I enter there very often. Bars just weren’t my thing.
Once saw an act of fellatio going on at a corner table there, though.
You’d be surprised about how many parts of Connecticut are conservative. Get rid of New Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Hartford, and a good chunk of Fairfield county and we’d be sold red.
Naw, he stays safe in the cities. Burbs are different though we are being overrun with too many New Yawkers.
Trump car parade in NYC today, organized by religious Jews. They are being openly attacked.
I would have left right then and there, after giving them an earful.
I’ve been think about the pizza place since I read your post. Was it Papa Gino’s?
