Mr Kitty and I participating in a Trump Parade. Big turn out. Lots of excitement
Can't wait to see if this makes news

Where in North Haven, Washington Ave.? Ever since Angelo retired (Angelo’s Pizza), the only thing left for me in North Haven is Liuzzi’s Cheese. I used to go St. Barnabas Church regularly, though. And Woolco.

“Can’t wait to see if this makes news”
I would love to hear from you about this as far as how it is reported. If possible take pics and post them.
My guess is if it is reported at all it will be said the crowd was “smaller than expected” or “low key without much enthusiasm”
To: KosmicKitty
I do not recall this many and this large of Trump parades in 2016. Lots of enthusiasm in 2020 for President Trump.

Awesome! I think Trump is going to do it, win big. Win the popular vote as well although I kind of wish he doesn’t so the left is driven more nuts about the electoral college LOL!

Definitely the popular vote, too. Maybe that’ll shut ‘em up.

Nothing will shut them up.
Nixon won overwhelmingly in 1972, we all know what came after.

If he wins the popular vote he will have more political capital with Congress. Remember that Paul Ryan and company acted like Trump would be forced to resign in February 2017.

Fortunately Trump is both stronger and more honest than Nixon.

I was in Ashland, Ky yesterday for a friends funeral. Afterwards I was invited to go a restaurant for a late lunch. While waiting outside for a table to be cleared a large Trump parade, on foot, came walking by. At least a few hundred people. I was impressed until the guys I was with made the comment, It must be nice to be able to show your racism in public.

I used to work for Angelo’s.. one of my first jobs in fact.
I parted ways and rejoined with Sammy years later where I continued to drive pizzas. Now is Angelos on Washington? Or are you thinking Antonio’s?

I keep hoping and praying that the Republicans win back control of the House and Senate. Maybe Pelosi will shut her yap and go away then. And Schumer too, we need to get his face out from in front of the cameras.

Now is Angelos on Washington?
Angelo's was on Washington Ave. right next to the I-91 connector. It has long been leveled after Angelo retired and the fellow buying the business made idiot changes and failed in six months. The Rustic Oak used to be across the street.
Angelo's bacon pizzas were the best! His salami pizza was second best. His sausage and pepper grinders have only been approached by Risa's deli in Wallingford down the street.
I still remember the hallmarks of Angelo's. The large sign warning that no alcoholic beverages other than beer and cider were to be consumed on the premises, a hand drawn pastel caricature of "King Angelo" and wife Nettie, a Rheingold sticker on the door when Rheingold beer was long gone from the area. And of course, the old portrait of JFK, reminding us of a different era and a different Democrat Party.
Old North Haven history bonus points. What was the first CHAIN pizza restaurant to open in North Haven? It lasted for a short time, and was down the street from "The Dog House". ALso, do you remember the "Dial Tone" lounge?
